About Us

Hi! We’re Tyler and Jessica, founders of Rhema Speech Therapy.

We started Rhema to create a more purposeful approach to staffing and one built around real relationships and the right fit for both schools and clinicians.

Jessica is an ASHA-certified SLP with over 10 years of experience in schools, primarily in Minnesota. Through her work with large staffing agencies, she saw how rushed and impersonal the process could become, where placements were often treated as transactions rather than long-term partnerships.

After transitioning into independent contracting with school districts, she experienced how much stronger placements could be with clear communication and genuine collaboration.

Jessica now focuses on identifying clinicians who not only meet licensure and certification requirements, but who also bring the right skill sets to support students and manage caseloads successfully.

Tyler brings a background in business development, relationship-building, and communication. He focuses on building strong partnerships with schools and keeping the process smooth, responsive, and easy to navigate.

Together, we’ve built Rhema to be the kind of company we would have wanted to work with ourselves; responsive, trustworthy, and easy to work with.

Raised in Iowa, we now live in east Tennessee with our three daughters and love spending time hiking, biking, and exploring the mountains together.

The Meaning of Rhema

Rhema is a Greek word meaning "utterance." In the Bible, it is often used to describe a message that is spoken. For example, Luke 1:37 states, "For no word (rhema) from God will ever fail."
